Eat My Meatball Sub

I keep raiding Plain Chicken and all of her great recipes.  If you want easy, flavor packed recipes, go there!  Here is her original post.  The only thing I changed is that I cut back on the cream cheese mixture because I really enjoyed the flavor of the bread, marinara, and meatballs.

Meatball Sub Casserole

Meatball Sub Casserole

1 loaf French bread
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
3/4 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 lb. frozen meatballs, thawed
1 (24 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
2 c. mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Slice French bread into 1-inch slices and place in a lightly greased 9×13-inch pan.  Mix together cream cheese and Italian seasoning.  Spread mixture evenly over French bread slices.  Chop meatballs and sprinkle over cream cheese mixture.  Pour spaghetti sauce evenly over meatballs.  Top with mozzarella cheese.

Bake 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and cheese is melted.
