Tha Boss Marinara Sauce

This is a fairly easy marinara sauce recipe.  To make it easy, it calls for a canned stewed tomato base.  Therefore, this sauce will only be as good as your stewed tomatoes are.  Get your favorite brand.  Not the cheap shit.  I like Contadina tomatoes.

Tha Boss Marinara Sauce 

2 (14.5 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes

1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste

1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp. oregano

1 tsp. basil

1 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. black pepper

6 tbsp. olive oil

1/4 c. finely diced onion

1/2 c. white wine

Combine all except the last three ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.  In a skillet, saute onion in olive oil until transparent.  Add tomato sauce and wine to skillet.  Simmer for 20 minutes.  This recipe yields 4 1/2 cups.

We topped a big ass Eat My Meatloaf with Tha Boss Marinara Sauce.  It’s the best!
