R. I. P. Nikon

I used to have a badass camera (it was badass in it’s time, okay).  It’s dead now.  Crashed into some concrete in the middle of a hand off.  I’m still heartbroken over it.  Here is what it looked like…

Anyway, to drown in my sorrow, I decided to post some of my favorite shots I took with that camera.  None of these have been altered in any way.

I take that back.  Some of them may have been cropped.  But the colors and textures haven’t been jacked with.

Well, I tried to post a comment a couple of hours ago, but something happened. Or didn't happen. You not only have a way with words, you certainly prove that you have a way with visuals! Your little Nikon will no doubt be missed; it has served you well lo these many photos. But now, maybe you can scrape up the dough to upgrade to a D300, the REAL DEAL. You have a brave, unafraid eye and lens, and you would do even better with a bit longer lens (or at least more choices). The oak tree shadow, the little boy crying, the snapper mosh pit, the girl and dolphins to name but a few of the most awesom-est-er ones. You have my vote! Next time, don't take a cruise, go get a big Nikon!aA
