If you don’t know what mutton bustin’ is, you’re in for a treat! Ducky is too!! I don’t think he fully understands what he’s going to be doing yet. As soon as he found out that it’s a COMPETITION for a TROPHY, he bowed up his chest, put on his game face, and said, “Yippee ki yay, Motherfucker.” Actually, it was more like, “Giddy up,” but I can dream that he’s a Die Hard badass, right?
Little does he know, he will be holding onto a sheep for dear life as it runs rampant wondering what the hell is on his back. This will be Ducky’s first time riding any type of live animal. Although, he has been practicing diligently on his 6 year old cousin, Fiata.
This time, there will be less hair to grab onto and he will be competing against ten other 5 and 6 year olds for a seat in the finals. No matter what, he’ll get a ribbon and a buckle just for participating (yes, one of those huge rodeo buckles that doubles as a centerpiece platter). If he qualifies for finals, he’ll get a trophy and he’ll go back on March 20th to compete in the Championship Round. “Eyes on the prize,” he says.
